It's Teach Me Thursday and Tip Junkie readers have not disappointed with some really cool tutorials. Thanks for submitting these ideas!
Blogging Tip: Jola posted a tutorial on how to make blinkie buttons using Easy GIF Animator 3.4. YAY! I've been wanting to learn how.
Cooking: Have you seen the Year of CrockPotting Blog? What a cool idea with tons of great recipies. Especially in the summer when you don't want to make your house any warmer with an oven on.
Stephanie lays it all out and makes it look easy with a picture of all the ingredients and a tutorial on how to make each dish.
Design: Take a look at this amazing tutorial! Caroline took the thrift store nightstands she painted and dressed them up with fabric. She wrote a tutorial to go with this project so we can all decoupage. I've got to do this in my guest room, fabulous!!
For the Kids: Gwen who lives in my neck of the woods, sent me this fun tutorial on how to recycle crayons. I love how she did it in car molds! My boys would LOVE that!
Gwen did this activity with her 3 1/2 year old son. Her son could help out a lot with the peeling and scoring the crayons. (She used a plastic knife and adult supervision. Gwen said that it was great to give him something that was okay to purposefully break. She handled the oven part but he was able to do everything else.
These are so going to be in her party favors this year come birthday time!
Gift Idea: Nicole gives us all the details on how to make these cute and easy to make gift card holders. What a great way to spice up a typical gift card.
Gift Idea: Looking for a end of year teacher or bus driver gift? Jennifer has hooked you up! It's a bag of gumballs with a tag that says, "Thank you for "chewsing" to teach at __________! My child had a "ball" this year."
Scrap Craft: Amy has come up with a way to repurpose large formula cans. She covered the label and added some tissue paper, it makes an adorable open face gift basket! It's perfect for homemade baked goods and/or other small gifts.
Sewing: Tonia made this quick and easy tote bag with purchased placemats. She has linked you to a tutorial that gives great how-to instructions.
I made these at Christmas to use as gift bags, click here to see how they turned out.
